A real-time 3D configuration engine and marketing website for a modular retail shelving and accessories system. Currently in development; client details are confidential until launch.

The configurator

A browser-based 3D configurator for planning retail fit-outs. Lay out a store floor, build fixtures through a guided wizard and edit them part by part. Each fixture animates together piece by piece, following its real assembly sequence.

Parts are 3D models converted from the manufacturer's CAD files (Revit, IFC and STEP to glTF). Assembly rules taken from the physical system decide what fits where, so layouts follow how the shelving and accessories actually go together.

The website

A 3D-led marketing site for the product range. Much of its looping animated footage is rendered in Blender, showing the system in retail settings, with pages for each store type and an enquiry flow for design consultations.

Built with React, three.js and React Three Fiber, and prerendered for search.

Internal tooling

A source-linked knowledge base of the physical system, built from photos, teardown measurements and CAD exports, with dimensions tagged as design intent or measured reality. Both apps import their numbers from it, and a small desktop app on top is used to define fixture families and presets and track catalogue coverage.
